Date Posted:10/06/2009 11:22:35Copy HTML anyone got clues how we can try to clean up a vintage sampler? We think it was stitched sometime in the mid 1800s but its pretty soiled and does have some condition issues

Re:antique sampler...how to clean?? Date Posted:10/07/2009 10:20:19Copy HTML it was stiched by Elizabeth Perkins born Aug 11 1824
the lady we bought it from said she was from Succasunna NJ (which is part of our township) and had found info at the local library (we were unsuccessful) its partially stitched a number of missing letters in the alphabet but pretty darn cool and for 28 bucks couldnt pass it up |

Did you do any research on the internet about cleaning it I think that Luvs is right...be very careful... and try to preserve it from now on! |
