Probably "got taken over" at the Flea Market ~ but I purchased cause I love it!
I have searched all over the search engines and have not been able to find this Gruen Veri-Thin "Junior" Gold Filled (Rose) watch with matching wristband, in a "mesh" style!~
If anyone has a "site" for research, I would appreciate it!
Yes, it's a windup and the "dealer" said it was about 1947/48 ~ and "Junior" meant either men's or women's.
I thought it might be a marriage ~ a band taken from another watch and put with this dial? But the Rose Gold Fill matches perfectly.
Though the face says: Gruen Veri-Thin, there is "something" printed under the #s 7-6-5, even with a magnifying glass, can't read it!
Nor can I read what is on the band...it's in a "clasp" that is adjustable, should I gain weight. I think there could be a name and maybe a Patent #?
Any thoughts anyone would like to share, I'm reading!
