In the past Thanks giving has always been on the 3rd thursday in Nov. How come they moved it this year?
Has anyone else noticed this?

I thought one we retired the younger ones in the family would take over and make the dinner. Well last year it was a combined effort by them and me. And this year every one has to work So I get to go up on wednesday and cook and take care of my inlaws they are pretty much house bound now. Will cook dinner on thursday and head home on Friday morning. We will have to take the dogs with us because they get so cold. But the cats will stay here with pleanty of food water and 2 clean litterboxes they will be fine on the back porch. They just don't travel well especially Munchie we tried it once and it did not work out. lol

SPEEDING IN SOUTH DAKOTA
GOOD A Madison , SD policeman had a perfect spot to watch for speeders, but wasn't getting many. Then he discovered the problem--a 12-year-old boy was standing up the road with a hand painted sign, which read 'RADAR TRAP AHEAD.' The officer also found the boy had an accomplice who was down the road with a sign reading 'TIPS' and a bucket full of money. (And we used to just sell lemonade!)
BETTER
A motorist was mailed a picture of his car speeding through an automated radar post in Sioux Falls, SD. A $40 speeding ticket was included. Being cute, he sent the police department a picture of $40. The police responded with another mailed photo of handcuffs.
BEST
A Young woman was pulled over for speeding. A South Dakota State Trooper walked to her car window, flipping open his ticket book, she said, 'I bet you are going to sell me a ticket to the State Trooper's Ball. 'He replied, ' South Dakota State Troopers don't have balls.' There was a moment of silence. He then closed his book, got back in his patrol car and left.

Cooter and Gomer.
Stanley died in a fire and his body was burned pretty badly.
The morgue needed someone to identify the body, so they sent for his
two best friends, Cooter and
Gomer.
The three men had always done everything together.
Cooter arrived first, and when the mortician pulled back the sheet,
Cooter said, 'Yup, his face is burned up pretty bad. You better roll
him over.'
The mortician rolled him over and Cooter said, 'Nope, ain't Stanley '
The mortician thought this was rather strange.
So he brought Gomer in to confirm the identity of the body.
Gomer looked at the body and said, 'Yup, he's pretty well burnt up.
Roll him over..'
The mortician rolled him over and Gomer said, 'No, it ain't Stanley '
The mortician asked, 'How can you tell?'
Gomer said, 'Well, Stanley had two assholes.'
'What? He had two assholes?' asked the mortician.
'Yup, we never seen 'em, but everybody used to say:
'There's Stanley with them two assholes.'

been an unusually wet a cool fall here so far about 30 degrees below normal way to much rain. supposed to be 60 by Monday hopefully so hubby can brew some beer for winter comes and as soon as it warms up a little got to finish painting the house and the deck

Thought I was having a mini stroke eye was drooping mouth was drooping eye was twitching could only smile on right side and neck hurt. Dr diagnosed with Bells Palsy with meds it should clear up in a week or it could take a couple of months

i wouldn't clean it it could destroy the fabric or threads i would just put it in a frame with glass all acid free to keep any more damage from happening to it and of course keep it from sunlight

I have an old advertising thermometer I am going to put up for sale on Ebay and there is a address of 1600 genessee St. Kansas city 15, mo this way I can get a clue to how old it is
