re:FoooF....what industry did your daughter work in? Where dragon is long term temping they need "temps" it would be a straight shot down 287 to morristown...will get dragon in here to post details
Lab (MLD) started in as a drafts person with auto cad back in the early '90's and now after 9/11 she has done computer work mostly with insurance companies... Temp work could be a problem as she needs medical insurance... so far unemployment has been great and she still qualifies for Cobra insurance... she may stll go back to school ..... her main set back is her fibromayalsia..
Lately we have heard that the Pickininny Arsenal is hiring big time... she is looking at that
Thanks for asking

We have a new tradition which will continue forever I hope :-)
MLD does the cooking at her home... she offered/insisted that she take
over 3 years ago.. I get the turkey deal at Shoprite.. in fact I buy most of the
food as she is still without a job.. I do the pies, onion dish, & sweet potatoes
at home to be re-heated... my son buys the beer and wine... hey it works for the
4 of us
Her home is a small open plan ranch .. so we eat in her kitchen at grandmas rock maple dining set and off of MLD Sasha B black and gold dishes that I bought her years ago on ebay... hope the weather is nice
we usually go to the Catskills on friday but those plans have been changed to another date!

Hey back again.. just realized that the Heart of the Catskills Humane society that we support
had a really neat/cute video taken at their annual woofs and wags festival in Delhi NY... only dogs allowed cat owners like myself can enter the catphography contest with several catergories to chose from where you can summit photos of your cats...
Last fall they earned more money for the shelter than their annual dinner dance.. well over $20,000!!
One of these years I will plan to get there ...
Enjoy the video.. a quick shot of my sisinlaw and of course our friend Deb Crute the director takes center stage after the kids and dogs... woodstock relived in the Catskills..

2 of our 3 cats came from this shelter and one of MLD's

I'm watching as usual but a bit disappointed that the network does so many things to
undermine the players... most who are on the show really do need help big time!
I decided to watch again this year because of the call in that they ended the show with
last season... you got to vote in one of 2 young women to be on the show
One gal "Amanda" is from the town my daughter (MLD) lives in, Butler, NJ... I was really rooting for her
BUT Thought for sure she would go home last night because of her attitude ect..
My son and MLD know where she lives as they happened by her home on a day the family had
Welcome Home Biggest Loser banners up... not sure this was from when she made her visit back home
, or from when she might have been eliminated or from the end of the show...

anyone else watching...

this good looking man.. did anyone see the show RealHomes:ReelScary with the lovely John over Halloween:

Oh goodness I have no idea.. they were a new item that our local Garden Club had for sale
I do think that they are mostly sold through the mail/catalog... will let you all know if they bloom next year :-)
They just sounded neat ..BTW there are daffodils in the background but the foreground seem smaller and more tiny tulip style... I think this was a photo submitted from a person's garden which probably had many kinds of flowers..

What a trip to the Adirondacks !!!....... had all of our bags and stuff
packed and ready to go by Thurs supper... we kept checking the weather
chanel etc.. with rain and snow showers here in Wayne... We just decided to make an early go of it... left here about 8am and it was funky out... with our new car we could check the outdoor temp as we drove north... how surprised were we when the roads cleared and it got warmer and warmer... sun came out... after we settled in
I sat on the wide front steps and read for an hour in the warm sun..how nice.
A very nice wknd with old friends.. we work & play hard...clearing the leaves, putting up storm windows etc etc and in my case ...using Butchers wax on some wood bathroom shelving to protect from toothpaste etc .. a great time had by all... love their chef John ...who makes good food esp his soup and cookies... a songfest by a well known Adirondack folk singer/song writer (Dan Berggren) was held on Saturday night...for us he is best known for his song called simply "Sagamore" http://mog.com/music/Dan_Berggren/Adirondack_Green/Sagamore click on Sagamore to hear.. we all know this song by heart
Saw many deer, once 6 at one time.. I was only 20 ft from a young spike horn.. they were not afraid...
The only negative about the trip was what happens on the roadway.. hubby went out for gas at 7am friday and a deer missed his car by inches... other times some careless speeding drivers came so close to make our hair stand on end... getting so it isnt so much fun to drive... 5 hrs each way in our case... but we did arrive home safe and sound by supper time on Sunday. Our son ordered pizza and antipasta salad.. a good way to end a trip

The day my hubby put our AC unit to bed for the winter it snowed here in NJ
I suppose Labenette had snow.. Sparta NJ about 20 miles west of me had about
8" and made the weather chanel ...... we had snow showers on last Thursday 10/16
not much tho thank goodness....
I never believed in global warming...but do think mankind needs to be more
caring and aware... but the planet is going to change.. from cold to hot over the eons and we have no control of the big picture..

(((((((((Luvs)))))))))
So sorry... alas this is a condition that one hears little about
but apparantly happens quite often
My hubby had Bells Palsy many years ago... it usually takes time
to return to normal... more frustrating than anything else
You will be OK... glad that they have meds for this now!

Its that time of year again when my hubby and I
volunteer to help shut down Great Camp Sagamore
for the season... will be out of touch for a long 3 day work wknd
We leave NJ with foliage in full command (although the wind
has gotten a head start) by the time we travel to the Adirondacks
and reach Sagamore the trees there will be bare... today we
heard they even had some snow......Brrrrrrr
My job is to wax some new shelves that have been placed over
the antique sinks... to protect from careless quests toothpaste
and hair gunk, etc... if I have time I will get to help clean the old
brass on the windows...
Please check this site.. if you click on image #3 you will see the Main
Lodge where our room is... its the 2nd floor left... the entire left side
which includes the 2 sets of triple windows... it has a 7ft claw foot
original tub and a view from front to back of the lake etc
Consider me very lucky... no wonder I love this place
http://www.greatcampsagamore.org/resources/photo-gallery
If you go to their home page I think there is a place to subscribe to their
email and a change to win a free stay which is awarded each month
I think from June thru October... we get to pay $90 total for us both
for the entire wknd..

Each part was presented for the different eras of our Parks
Finally had the time to see part 6... and I was in tears when it finished
