A year ago my neighbor and I started a Neighborhood watch due to the rise in crime and vandalisim here. In a year we have managed to clean up our area, most gang bangers have been run out and there is a lot less tagging going on. It is a sad state of affairs what has happend to people and their neighborhoods. One of our biggest problems here is what is called Section 8 houseing, this is low income could care less about the property or the neighborhood. Aurora now has a three strikes rule if there are 3 complaints about you you can be removed from Section 8 and the landlords who are absent can face up to a 1,000.00 fine per incedent. Does anybody else belong to a Neighborhood watch program or have section 8 nhouseing around them I would love to hear from you. Saudi |
